Planning a hen weekend, birthday, girls' weekend or simply getting a group of friends together?

A massage party is a little different from the traditional idea of going to a spa. Instead of everyone travelling somewhere for treatments, I bring the massage experience to you.

I arrive at your home, holiday accommodation, Airbnb or venue with my massage equipment and everything needed for the treatments. Members of your group can then take turns having their massage while everyone else carries on enjoying the day.

It's relaxed, flexible and particularly convenient when you're all staying together for a weekend.

Can I book a mobile massage for a group event or party?

Yes!

Touch of Wellness offers mobile massage parties and group bookings across Faversham and surrounding areas of Kent, including Canterbury, Whitstable, Sittingbourne, Ashford, Herne Bay and nearby villages.

I can come to your home, holiday accommodation, Airbnb or suitable venue, making massage particularly easy to add to a hen weekend, birthday celebration, girls' weekend or relaxing break with friends.

I'm a solo massage therapist, so treatments generally take place one after another rather than several people being massaged at the same time.

That actually works really well for many groups. While one person disappears for some peaceful massage time, everyone else can continue chatting, eating, relaxing or enjoying whatever else you've planned.

Then it's the next person's turn!

What occasions are massage parties good for?

You don't really need a special occasion, but group massage bookings can work particularly well for:

  • Hen parties and hen weekends

  • Girls' weekends

  • Birthday celebrations

  • Airbnb and holiday cottage stays

  • Family get-togethers

  • Wellness days

  • Small group retreats

  • Friends simply wanting some relaxation together

And despite the name, a "massage party" doesn't need to be a party in the traditional sense.

It can simply be a few friends or family members sharing a relaxing afternoon or evening.

How does a massage party work?

The first thing we decide is how much time you'd like to book.

My current massage party options are:

2 hours – £120
3 hours – £160
4 hours – £200

For longer bookings, please contact me and we can discuss the options.

Once we've established the total time, you can decide how you'd like to divide it between the group.

That's where massage parties become really flexible.

For example, a 2-hour booking could be divided between four people having approximately 30 minutes each, or perhaps two people having longer treatments.

For larger groups, shorter individual treatments can allow more people to take part.

You don't necessarily need to divide the time equally either. One person may want a longer massage while someone else is perfectly happy with a shorter treatment.

We'll agree a rough plan beforehand so everyone knows how the session will work.

What treatments can we choose?

Group treatments can be adapted around the amount of time available and what each person wants from their session.

Depending on the booking and treatment length, this might include:

  • Relaxing massage techniques

  • More focused work on areas of muscular tension

  • Sports massage techniques

  • Back, neck and shoulder massage

  • Seated/chair massage

  • Hot stone massage by prior arrangement

For a smaller group with longer individual appointments, there's naturally more opportunity for a fuller treatment.

Before each person's massage, I'll have a quick conversation with them about what they'd like me to concentrate on, their preferred pressure and anything relevant I need to know.

So everybody doesn't have to receive exactly the same massage.

If you're not sure what would work best, don't worry. Tell me how many people you have and how much time you're considering booking, and I can help you work out a sensible plan.

Can we have seated or chair massage instead?

Yes.

Not everybody feels comfortable undressing for a massage — and at a party or group event, some people may simply prefer something quicker and more informal.

I have a professional massage chair that I can bring with me for back, neck and shoulder treatments.

The client remains fully clothed and sits comfortably supported in the chair while I work through the upper back, shoulders and neck through their clothing.

This can be particularly useful for larger groups because shorter treatments can be offered, allowing more people to take part during the time you've booked.

It's also a good option for somebody who doesn't fancy a table massage — or even someone who wasn't originally planning to have a massage but changes their mind after watching everyone else!

Depending on your group, we can use the massage table, massage chair or a combination of both during the booking.

If you'd like me to bring the massage chair, please mention it when making your enquiry so I know to bring the additional equipment.

Can we have hot stone massage at a massage party?

Yes, hot stones can be included by prior arrangement, but I need to know beforehand.

Hot stone massage requires additional equipment, preparation and heating time, so it isn't something I can normally add spontaneously once I've arrived.

There are also additional hygiene considerations when hot stones are being used for several consecutive treatments. Stones need to be appropriately cleaned and sanitised between clients.

For that reason, how hot stones can be incorporated into a group booking will depend on the number of people, treatment timings and practical arrangements at the venue.

If hot stone massage is something your group would particularly like, tell me when you make your enquiry and we can discuss what's practical before the day.

How long does each person get?

That's largely up to your group and the amount of time you've booked.

If four people share a two-hour booking equally, that gives roughly 30 minutes per person.

With three or four hours, there's considerably more flexibility. You might choose longer treatments for fewer people or shorter sessions for a larger group.

You also don't necessarily have to divide the time equally.

For example, one person might really want a longer massage while another is perfectly happy with a shorter back, neck and shoulder treatment.

The massage chair also makes shorter upper-body treatments particularly easy to incorporate.

The important thing is that we agree a rough plan beforehand so the timings work for everybody.

Planning a group booking?

Not sure whether you need 2, 3 or 4 hours?

You don't need to work it all out yourself.

Tell me your date, location and roughly how many people would like a massage, and I'll help you work out which option would suit your group.

[ENQUIRE ABOUT A MASSAGE PARTY]

Do we need a lot of space?

Not as much as you might imagine.

For table massage, I generally need approximately 2m × 2.5m of clear space so I can comfortably set up my massage table and work around it.

A bedroom, living room or another quiet area of your accommodation can often work perfectly well.

Ideally, it should be somewhere with enough privacy that the person receiving their massage can properly switch off.

The massage chair requires less space and can therefore be particularly useful at venues where setting up a full massage table isn't practical.

If you're staying in an Airbnb or holiday cottage, it's worth having a quick look around when you arrive and deciding which room would work best.

What do you bring?

Pretty much everything I need.

Depending on the treatments we've arranged, I can bring my:

  • Professional massage table

  • Professional massage chair

  • Towels and linens

  • Massage oils

  • Music

  • Other equipment required for the treatments

If we've arranged hot stone treatments, I'll also bring the stones and specialist heating equipment.

You don't need to find a massage table or buy anything specifically for the booking.

All I really need from you is sufficient space to set up and access to the property.

What should everyone wear?

For table massage, each person can undress to whatever level they feel comfortable with for their treatment.

Appropriate towel draping is used throughout the massage, and only the area being worked on is uncovered.

I leave the room while each person gets ready and again when they get dressed afterwards.

If somebody doesn't want to undress, that's absolutely fine.

With the massage chair, back, neck and shoulder massage can be performed through clothing, so the person remains fully dressed throughout.

That makes seated massage particularly accessible at parties and group events where somebody may not feel comfortable having a traditional table massage.

The priority is that everyone feels comfortable.

Can you come to our Airbnb or holiday cottage?

Yes — these bookings work particularly well.

I've provided massages for guests staying in holiday accommodation around Kent, including groups visiting the Canterbury area.

One of the biggest advantages is convenience.

You're already together at the property, so nobody needs to organise taxis, drive to a spa or worry about getting everyone somewhere at the same time.

I arrive, set everything up and treatments take place while the rest of your group continues enjoying the accommodation.

Afterwards, the person who's just had their massage doesn't even need to travel home — they're already there.

Are massage parties suitable for hen weekends?

Absolutely.

A massage can provide a lovely contrast to some of the more energetic parts of a hen weekend!

It can work particularly well during the afternoon before everyone gets ready to go out, the morning after the night before, or as part of a more relaxed wellness-themed weekend.

You also don't need the entire group to participate.

If only three or four people fancy a massage while everyone else does something different, that's perfectly fine.

For larger hen groups, shorter seated back, neck and shoulder treatments can also be a good way of allowing more people to take part.

What happens before each person's massage?

Even during a party booking, every treatment is individual.

Before I start, I'll ask the person having the massage a few questions about their health, any areas of pain or discomfort and what they'd like from their treatment.

This is important because something appropriate for one member of the group may not be appropriate for another.

I don't simply perform exactly the same routine on everyone.

Can people drink alcohol before their massage?

This is worth thinking about if massage is part of a party or celebration.

I'd recommend having your massage before drinking alcohol rather than afterwards.

Someone who is significantly under the influence of alcohol shouldn't receive a massage. Alcohol can affect judgement and communication and make it more difficult for someone to accurately judge things such as pressure or discomfort.

If you're planning drinks as part of the day, arranging the massages earlier is usually the easiest solution.

There will be plenty of time for the Prosecco afterwards!

Why choose a mobile massage party instead of going to a spa?

There's nothing wrong with a spa day — I enjoy them too!

But a mobile massage party offers something different.

You don't have to:

  • Get everybody to the same spa

  • Arrange transport

  • Leave your accommodation

  • Spend the entire day following a spa's schedule

  • Travel anywhere after your massage

Instead, massage becomes one part of whatever else you've planned.

That's particularly useful for Airbnb stays and weekend celebrations where your accommodation is already the centre of the event.

And because I can offer both traditional table massage and fully clothed seated massage, there's flexibility for people who want different experiences.

How much does a mobile massage party cost?

My current massage party prices are:

2 hours – £120
3 hours – £160
4 hours – £200

If you require more than four hours, please get in touch and I can provide a price based on the length of the booking and location.

Because I'm mobile, travel outside my normal service area may also need to be discussed before confirming the booking.

Where do you offer massage parties?

Touch of Wellness is based in Faversham, Kent, and I generally travel within approximately 45 minutes.

This includes areas such as:

Faversham • Canterbury • Whitstable • Sittingbourne • Ashford • Herne Bay • surrounding Kent villages

If you're staying slightly outside these areas, you're still welcome to ask.

Send me the postcode or location of your accommodation and I'll let you know whether I can travel to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a massage therapist for a hen party in Kent?

Yes. I provide mobile massage for hen parties and hen weekends in Faversham, Canterbury and surrounding areas of Kent. Treatments can take place at your home, Airbnb, holiday accommodation or another suitable venue.

Can several people book massages together?

Yes. You book a block of time and that time can be divided between members of your group. As I'm one therapist, treatments take place one after another.

How many people can have a massage?

There isn't a fixed number because it depends on how long you'd like each treatment to be. A smaller group can have longer massages, while shorter individual treatments — particularly seated massage — can accommodate more people.

Do we all have to choose the same treatment?

No. Each person's massage can be adapted according to what they'd like worked on and the time available.

Do I have to undress for a massage party?

No. For table massage, you undress only to your own level of comfort and appropriate towel draping is used throughout.

Alternatively, I can provide fully clothed seated massage using my professional massage chair, concentrating on the back, neck and shoulders.

Can we have hot stone massage?

Hot stone massage may be available for group bookings by prior arrangement. Because it requires additional equipment, preparation and hygiene arrangements between treatments, please ask about hot stones when making your initial enquiry.

Can you provide massage at an Airbnb?

Yes. I provide mobile massage at holiday accommodation, provided there's sufficient space to safely set up my equipment.

How much space do you need?

Approximately 2m × 2.5m of clear space is ideal for my massage table and enough room for me to comfortably work around it. The massage chair requires less space.

Do you bring the massage table and towels?

Yes. I bring the massage table, towels, linens, oils, music and other equipment needed for your treatments. I can also bring my massage chair when arranged beforehand.

How much is a massage party?

A 2-hour massage party is £120, 3 hours is £160 and 4 hours is £200. Contact me for longer bookings or if your venue is outside my usual travel area.

Can we drink alcohol during a massage party?

It's better to have your massage before drinking alcohol. I won't provide massage to someone who is significantly under the influence, so if drinks are part of your celebration, arranging treatments earlier in the day is usually best.

Ready to plan your massage party?

Whether you're organising a hen weekend in Canterbury, celebrating a birthday, staying in an Airbnb with friends or simply planning a relaxing get-together, I can bring the massage experience directly to you.

Massage party bookings start from £120 for 2 hours, with table massage, fully clothed seated massage and hot stones available by prior arrangement.
